Dr. Keesler grew up in Connecticut and worked as a vet tech for a year before going to and graduating from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. She worked in England for a year before moving back to the states and working at Brookline Animal Hospital with Dr. Hartman and Dr. Tast. After taking the next several years to spend time at home with her two daughters, she returned to performing surgery at Wellesley Animal Hospital. She likes to run in the woods with her two dogs, trail ride with her horses, and play with her cat.
